I've been training with Chester County Training for almost 10 years, maybe longer. Through those years, I've found Adam's approach to overall wellness to be far superior to most personal trainers. My wife has been training with Adam in his studio for the past seven years. When the pandemic struck last March, Adam took the initiative to set-up equipment in our home so that she could continue with her training. Being a “casual observer” at times, Adam would goad me and encourage me to join the “fun”. Never one to invest in exercise, after several weeks I reluctantly succumbed to the good-natured pressure and started to participate in the exercise sessions. It will soon be a year since I started, and I can state unequivocally that it was one of the best decisions that I have made in many years. Soon to be a septuagenarian, I am in the best shape that I have been in many years. Recognizing my age, Adam designs and focuses my sessions to strengthen my core, improve my balance and overall conditioning. The results are that I feel better both physically and mentally in my quest to not let age creep into my head. Chester County Training also has an experienced staff, and I would be remiss if I did not mention Brooke who is a valued member of Adam’s team. Brooke’s training style compliments Adam’s regimens while bringing her own knowledge and encouragement to the training sessions. Today is my first anniversary with Chester County Training. I started April 5, 2021. I’m a new woman! I contacted Adam because I was about to turn 71 and had been diagnosed with hypertension, although my blood pressure had always been at or below normal. I was taking lots of blood pressure meds, was overweight, and just plain wanted to get fit and healthy. From the minute I met Adam and Austin, I knew I was in the right place.
I work out with Austin twice a week. For the first time in my life, I actually look forward to working out. I enjoy his positivity and sense of humor. I’m always surprised when a session ends, because the time just flies. I think the exercises we do are very efficient. Most, if not all, include the core, which is so important for balance. My balance has been off since I had my four major joints replaced (both hips and both knees). I feel so much more secure. At least 95% of the exercises we do in our sessions, I can easily do at my gym. I gladly go to my gym several days a week now. Did I actually say that? I’ve lost about 50 pounds and have kept it off for nearly 6 months. Thanks to my year with Austin and Adam, I’m lighter, stronger, and more balanced (maybe not mentally) because of the good habits I’m learning. I’m so glad I saw their sign and called!
